By writing “I rode out on a bright May morning, Like a hero in a song. She locates herself within a tradition of heroic ballads. That all seem to take place in the months of April, May or January. The English Folk tradition of ply’s, songs and storytelling, that makes rom for the ordinary of misrule and fr farce and satire and which by rights should see Bojo properly placed in the stocks where we can all line up to throw vegetables. As a writer in English is it also possible to take pride n the tradition of writers including Shakespeare, Dickens, Conan Doyle, Twain etc, as well as a strand of populism that stands against oppression and exploitation?
