Writers' Tuesday: Post Your Work In Progress
Time to take a deep breath and submit your writing for feedback
Once again it is time for an attempt to revivify the Emerging Writers’ Club.
If you want the other members of this community to see and comment, and your work, just upload a Word Doc to the Google folder at the end of this thread. Me and the rest of the Boot Campers will read and comment on your postings.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about where you are in your writing journey, and pick up some useful feedback - so get writing and get posting.
Important Note:
For those posting: Please put at the top of your Word document your name, the word count ( no more than 1500 words), and whether it is a novel excerpt, a short story or a memoir excerpt.
For those commenting: Please put your name at the beginning of your comment and add it to the document you are commenting on, after any previous comments.
You have 14 days to post your submissions and comments, so this folder will be closed on Feb 27.
I will either post a summary of comments on that day, or arrange a Zoomcast to discuss.
Look forward to reading your material.
If you have any problems with posting, please let me know in the comment thread below.
The EWC is available to paying subscribers only, so if you want to join in, please upgrade here:

I tried, but was unable to comment on all of the submissions, so some have comments at the bottom, but for the ones I couldn't edit, below are some very brief notes:

I think everyone can understand the weird sentimentality of phone numbers. I like the idea of using them as a marker of time and place and something that can be mourned. I also liked the emails being used as a countdown to the impending loss.

I'm intrigued as to the concept behind your short story. Is it a murder mystery? I might (as I often am) be being a little dense, but it reads like the setup to and intricate whodunit. I particularly liked the phrase: his tortise-like step usually gave people the mistaken impression that he was dull.
Having a pop at sharing some WIP here for the first time, thanks so much for the opportunity Tim!
